RECOGNISED for its professionalism in handling a number of other previous projects, Specialist Engineering Asia (SEA) has been awarded with yet another major project in the Klang Valley.
Alora Residences, a freehold serviced residence located at USJ 25 in the heart of Subang Jaya, Selangor is the latest feather to be added to its cap, said SEA director, Aaron Chew.
“This freehold, modern high-rise serviced residence is the first phase of Avenue25 developed by Avaland Berhad,” he said. “The project consists of two towers, each with a height of 38 floors and 43 floors with total units of 770. Construction of the condominium has already begun since early this year.”
Chew said that the post-tensioning works will involve carparks at Levels 2–9 and the Transfer Plate at Level 10.
“Work will commence as early as end May or early June this year,” he added.
Chief executive officer Eugene Lim said that as a post-tensioning specialist contractor in Malaysia, SEA has been working closely with its core client Pembinaan Tuju Setia Sdn. Bhd. on a number of other projects including The Pulse Residence (Puchong), Sunway d’hill Residences (Kota Damansara), Emerald Hills 4 and Emerald 9 (in Cheras).
“All these projects are already completed, except for Emerald 9, Cheras which is scheduled to be completed by July 2024,” he added. “We are grateful to our client for the opportunity to work closely with them.”
SEA has a number of other ongoing building jobs in the Klang Valley which include Emerald 9 Cheras, Pavilion Mont’ Kiara and The Wyn Residences, Puchong.
One of its key projects is the iconic Bintulu-Jepak Cable Stayed Bridge in Sarawak. SEA was appointed the sole post-tensioning contractor for this project.
Other completed projects outside the Klang Valley include among others the Post-Tensioned Beams for Central Spine Road (CSR) Package 3J in Pahang, Long Span (LS) Girders for Central Spine Road (CSR), Lebuh Raya Kota Bharu – Kuala Krai (BKK) and Post-Tensioned Beams for Sg. Balok.
